Leah is a small vintage brass and glass bedside lamp complete with a hand-stitched Victorian-inspired lampshade in green and beige. It measures 16" (total height) by 11" (shade width) and weighs 2lbs 3oz.
The lampshade has low opacity and features Liberty of London Tana Lawn cotton in the beloved green “Strawberry Thief” pattern lined with silk, beige trims, and a dense olive brush fringe. This shade has a modified uno fitter that screws onto the socket.
The lamp body is in great condition with minor age-appropriate wear. It was probably produced sometime in the 1940’s-50’s. The switch style on this lamp is push-thru.
Fun fact: “Strawberry Thief” is a classic Arts and Crafts design that was created by William Morris all the way back in 1883. It has withstood the test of time and continues to be a popular choice with decorators today. The Tana Lawn cotton on which it is printed comes from the Liberty Printing Mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in Italy, and is renowned for its fluidity, silk-like touch, and the vibrancy and quality of print.
