Zoia is a small antique ceramic figurative boudoir lamp complete with a Victorian-inspired lampshade in sage, peach, beige, and blue. It measures 15in (total height) by 6.5in (shade width) and weighs 1lb 8oz.
The lampshade has high opacity and features sage silk, peach silk chiffon pleats, beige and navy trims, and beaded fringe that mirrors the colors of the shade. This is a clip-on shade that mounts onto the bulb.
The ceramic Art Nouveau lamp body is in astonishing condition for its age, as it is likely over 100 years old. It features a graceful beauty in a flowing yellow dress. It’s a special piece and one of my favorite lamps that I’ve had the pleasure of working on. The switch style on this lamp is push-thru.
Fun fact: the lampshade frame is original! After stripping the remnants of the fabric and rust-proofing and re-coating the frame, I was happy to be able to recover it using the original color as inspiration for the main fabric selection. It’s a rare treat to be able to salvage the original frame, they rarely survive.
